A look back at 2022

2022 - where to start?!

As one of Devon and Cornwall’s most popular wedding and function bands, we’re used to performing regularly for a multitude of events - from weddings and private parties to public events and fundraisers…

But what a year we had! We were lucky to be able to perform at 78 separate events throughout the year - that’s a gig every four-and-a-half days!! In total, we performed over 2,500 songs, to more than 7,000 people across five counties, making it easily the busiest year we’ve ever had.

From the undulating landscapes of Somerset to the beautiful coast and countryside of Devon and Cornwall, as a wedding band, you’re never shy of a gorgeous location - and we were lucky to have played in a number of incredible locations. A massive thanks to all of the wonderful venues for their hospitality and help.

Having been so busy, we haven’t been able to update our blog as often as we’d have liked (sorry!!. But, with 2023 already shaping up to be just as busy, we’re starting as we mean to go on, and hope to update you, lovely people, with our goings-on as much as possible.

As part of our live music wedding package, clients can choose to have their first dance and up to three requests performed live. This is a popular offering, as lots of people not only want their first dance to be extra-special but they want to hear the songs that mean the most to them, and we’re always happy to oblige!

In fact, this offering alone resulted in us learning a whopping 178 songs during the course of the year! Highlights included She's So Lovely by Scouting for Girls, who Mr and Mrs Tye chose as their first dance, Star Girl by McFly, which got everyone singing at Mr and Mrs Buckley's wedding, and performing Seventeen Going Under by Sam Fender at Mr and Mrs Williams' wedding, which we think we might keep in our set as it went down a storm!!

All in all, we met some amazing people, suppliers and clients throughout last year, and we know it will be just as fantastic in 2023. We’re already seeing a bulging diary, and can’t wait to return to venues like Ash Barton Estate and The Sandy Cove Hotel, but equally just as excited to tick off new settings like Elmhay Park and Avalen Weddings!

We’ll do our best to update you more on our performances and all the fantastic people and places we come across in 2023, so make sure you follow our Facebook and Instagram - and keep your eyes peeled on our blog!
